Philippines--ideal film location, says French director

According to French director Stephane Rybojad, the Philippines is an ideal film location because "it is rich in diversity." He said that the country is an archipelago, where there's so much to shoot, which he cannot possibly find in France.

Rybojad, who has produced over 150 documentary films in all corners of the world, visited the country for a special screening of his movie Special Forces at the SM Mall of Asia. This movie, which shows a group of elite French soldiers on a desperate hostage rescue mission in the Afghanistan/Pakistan area, is Rybojad’s fiction debut — an action thriller inspired by his experiences as a journalist covering the military.
