Miss China Wen Xia Yu took home the crown, besting 115 contestants from around the globe, and emerged as the winner of Miss World 2012 held at Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on Saturday, August 18.
Meanwhile, Miss Philippines Queneerich Rehman was able make it as one of the pageant’s top 15 semi-finalists. The 24-year-old Pinay from Las Piñas City gained international media attention before the Miss World 2012 coronation night for her beat-boxing performance during the pageant’s talent show.
Last year, the Philippine representative (Gwendoline Ruais) was named runner-up to Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos.
