Indonesia confirms the Kitsch bribe incident

An Indonesian official confirmed on Tuesday that Hollywood actor Taylor Kitsch, who was allegedly asked for his iPhone as a bribe by airport officials, arrived in Indonesia and not the Philippines as previously conveyed.

The airport official who allegedly bribed Taylor Kitsch has been identified and they are now in the process of investigation, said Denny Indrayana, Indonesian deputy minister for justice and human rights. According to Indrayana, the official will be sanctioned if he is found guilty of bribery.

The 30-year-old Canadian-born actor, star of Walt Disney’s sci-fi movie “John Carter,” came to Bali island's Ngurah Rai airport on Feb 1 to shoot a film in the neighboring West Nusa Tenggara province.
