Filipino-Mexican-American contestant Jessica Sanchez was safe from being eliminated despite having mixed reviews on Thursday's (Friday morning in Manila) performances from the American Idol judges.
The two male contestants--Joshua Ledet and Philip Phillips--were safe, while Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh were in the bottom 2.
Surprisingly, Laine, who has become a favorite among the AI contestants to win the 11th season of the popular US talent search, was eliminated.
