Idol champ Phillip Phillips has finally undergone surgery to remove massive kidney stones that almost caused him to quit the American Idol 2012 competition.
The 21-year-old singer, who managed to beat Jessica Sanchez in the American Idol 2012 finale, had an operation in Los Angeles CA on Wednesday and will recuperate in time to kick-off the American Idol tour in July. Acording to TMZ, Phillips had an operation that lasted more than six hours and several very large kidney stones were removed. The surgery was postponed from last week after Phillips fell ill with a sinus infection.Labels: Hollywood
