Boxing's pound-for-pound kings Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao topped the list of the 100 highest-paid athletes released by Forbes magazine on Monday.
Mayweather ranks No. 1 for making $85 million for the two fights last year. According to Forbes, Mayweather earned $40 million against Ortiz and another $45 million against Cotto.
Pacquiao is second on the list, earning $62 million in 2012.
Tiger Woods, who had topped the Forbes list since 2001, fell to third with a total of $59.4 million. According to Forbes, his earnings is down $16 million from the previous year and by half since his peak in 2009, mostly due to lost endorsement deals.
Miami Heat star LeBron James ranks fourth at $53 million, the highest of 13 basketball players on the list, despite the NBA lockout. Swiss tennis star Roger Federer was fifth on the list, having earned $52.7 million in 2012.
